Amaya made certain after her sister's passing to visit Callum and Ezran as often as possible, showing them love and warmth just like Sarai would. She would often visit Sarai's memorial, contemplating what she would do. Īmaya was deeply saddened by the death of her sister but kept her memory sacred. To keep sane, the two made a promise to each other to knock the other upside the head if they ever lost the perspective of where they had come from. In their private time together, they'd go for long horseback rides outside the castle and into the forest and share memories, sometimes about Callum's real father, and they'd talk about what life was like before they became "royalty". The sisters loved to communicate in secret, signing messages to each other – especially dirty jokes. They cooked but were not very good at it, and one of their hobbies included sparring, as they were each other's best opponents that not even Harrow could keep up with. Upon being asked about her "elf friend", Janai defensively responded that they are not friends, but that Amaya was merely her prisoner. Afterward, Janai accompanied Amaya to the Storm Spire, where they met Amaya's nephews and joined their group as allied forces. When they witnessed Aaravos kill Janai's sister Khessa, Amaya intervened and stopped Janai from charging to her death, communicating to her that there was nothing else she could do at the time, despite understanding the pain of losing a sibling. The two started working together at that point, facing a common enemy. After being held in Lux Aurea by Janai, Amaya slowly began to trust her, warning her of the danger that Viren and Aaravos posed upon infiltrating the elven city. However, despite her teasing, Amaya considered Janai to be an honorable adversary, even saving her from falling into the depths of the Breach. Amaya took great pride in fighting Janai, constantly egging her to take the offense with a beckoning hand.
